Important Update: EU Anti-Dumping Tariffs on Chinese-Origin Candles

On 13 August 2025, the European Commission introduced Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1732, imposing a provisional anti-dumping duty of up to 70.9% on candles, tapers and similar products of Chinese origin. These duties are now being implemented by customs and will apply until at least February 2026, when a final decision will be taken on whether to extend them for five years.

EU-based suppliers importing candles from China are now subject to a 70.9% surcharge on import.
As Anniversary House is a UK-based supplier, sales to non-EU markets such as Norway, Switzerland, and Iceland are not affected by these duties.
